FAQ
How much does a video cost?
Video production costs vary depending on the project’s scope, length, location, crew size, and post-production requirements. After discussing your goals, we’ll provide a customized quote. But you came here for some real numbers. A typical video with a one to two day shoot and a 3 to 10 minute deliverable is in the $3000 to $5000 range.
Can you work within our budget?
Budgets are tight everywhere. And while you can not produce Star Wars on a shoestring budget, we can tailor the production approach to accommodate your budget constraints.
How long should my video be?
Unless your viewers are die-hard fans of Ken Burns, engagement usually falls off a cliff between the 2- and 6-minute mark.
Chunk your content: Break complex topics down into single-concept modules. A viewer is much more likely to watch four 5-minute videos back-to-back than a single, daunting 20-minute video.
Keep it lean: A video should be exactly as long as it needs to be to convey the message effectively and not a second longer. When in doubt, cut it out.
Can I use AI to make my video?
While AI is an incredible tool for brainstorming, social media creation, and internal presentations, but traditional production methods remain indispensable. Putting copyright and legal grey areas aside, there is a distinct emotional disconnect and it triggers a sense of “cognitive friction” for the viewer of AI video. Audiences deeply value transparency. If viewers realize they aren’t watching a real human in a real scene, brand trust can crater immediately. A deepfake, no matter how hyper-realistic, is still a fake.
How long does the production process take?
Most projects take between 2–8 weeks from initial consultation to final delivery, depending on complexity and approval timelines. Educational videos typically take longer due to the more complicated approval process.
Do you only work with nonprofits and educational institutions?
No. We have many corporate clients, from ABC to Xerox, but we specialize in helping nonprofits and educational organizations tell compelling stories that engage donors, students, families, and stakeholders.
What is included in your video production services?
You can choose any one of our services, be it only pre-production, or shooting or just editing. Our services typically include concept development, scripting, pre-production planning, filming, editing, motion graphics, sound design, and final delivery.
Can you help with scripting and creative development?
Yes. We can help develop concepts, write scripts, create storyboards, and plan the entire creative approach. Even if you have a concept in mind, we can offer suggestions that will work best in the video format.
Can you film at our location?
Absolutely. We regularly film on-site at schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, events, and other locations.
What areas do you serve?
We work locally, regionally, and can travel nationwide depending on the project’s needs.
Can you create videos for social media?
Yes. During planning, we ask the client if there’s anything we should shoot for social media or if there is a “hero bite” we should capture. We deliver content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and others.
How many revisions are included?
All projects include up to three rounds of editing revisions. It usually takes one or two to rounds, but additional revisions can be accommodated for a nominal fee
